About me

Hi, my name is Andreya and I am the founder, painter and designer at ADI customs. This is a passion project of mine that allows me to share my artistic expression with the world.

My first ever encounter with art came when I was only 4, painting an imaginative landscape that embraced texture and different mediums to create a unique relief. Fatefully, this is where my passion for landscapes and natural forms sparked. Now more than 15 years later, I continuously explore the beautiful layers in nature using oils, acrylics, and watercolour paints.

It all started when...

Ah flowers, florals and all sorts of blooming and colourful natural creations repeatedly inspire my work. I constantly seek to experiment with new mediums, colours and textures to reflect the beauty of nature.

The painting on the right took the staggering 30 hours to paint.

More of my story...

Although I was practicing art on occasion, I didn't seriously pick it up until Year 10 in secondary school.

I drew a response to an artist's work at the time as part of my 'Identity' art project and it turned out extremely accurate to the point where I almost surpised myself too.
I then developed my graphite and pencil skills over the next two academic years and my final pieces earned me an A* in my GCSEs.

After the completion of my GCSEs I undetook Art and Design during my A-levels and earned an A grade despite the pandemic putting a halt to my project.

Degree?

Now you may think I went on to pursue an art degree but you would be wrong. I hold a first class degree in BA Geography during which I developed my passion project ADI.customs.

ADI.customs combines my passion for nature not just aesthetically but also through my sustainability efforts to upcyle old shoes and reduce landfill waste. I started out the business during the first lockdown when my creativity and urge to stay busy kicked in so I reached out to friends to customise their old Air Force 1 pairs to practice on and build a portfolio.
